We are only 3 weeks away from spring which typically is the busiest season for property sales as there are number of properties that hit the market ready for the spring buyers. Some may think it’s a negative time to then put your property on the market at the same time as others, however we have currently observed that there a few properties on the market and an abundance of buyers and these buyers are waiting for the spring property surge.
The key to selling your property in Spring is to make sure your property will stand out from the rest. With the use of our tips below this will help to ensure this is the case:
Tip 1 – Garden - As mentioned in our July edition of our newsletter/blog Spring is great for properties which one of its great features is its garden, or large windows overlooking natural scenery. So our first tip would be to get out into your garden and make sure it’s looking beautiful. Make sure the garden is free of all weeds, mulch the garden where necessary (choose a neutral colour either brown or black) and make sure the lawns are mown.
Tip 2 - Spring Clean – Whether your property be old or new purchasers need to see a clean home. This means to have a thorough clean, we have created a cleaning guide for you here. 'Pre-Sale Cleaning Checklist'
Tip 3 – Decoration in ‘Spring Colours’ – in the spring months to help bring that spring indoors you can transform your home with the use of pastels, florals and seasonal accents. It can be as simple as putting some flowers and some new cushions around your property. See the picture below that has that hint of spring by using greens, blue and yellow.
Tip 4 - Make your house 'Smell Like Spring' - we have put together this simple guide for you to have your property smelling like spring in no time.
What you'll need to start with:
- Lemons (sliced)
- Essential oil - we have used Lavender
Well we hope this has helped to give you ideas on getting your property spring ready.
